We build 100 ton hammer mill rod presses that make servicing pin and plate hammer mills much more manageable. If you own and operate grinders that utilize a pin and plate rotor you probably have swung a sledge hammer yourself. While pin and plate hammer mills are very robust, they tend to freeze up over time, making the rods difficult to remove. Sledge hammers simply can’t generate the force necessary and swinging sledge hammers is not an easy nor safe proposition.
